Facial Rejuvenation

Anti-Wrinkle

Dynamic wrinkles are caused by repetitive muscle movements like frowning or smiling. They most commonly occur on the forehead, around the eyes and even around the mouth. Anti-treatment treatments work by temporarily relaxing specific facial muscles. The procedure involves a quick office visit where treatment is delivered via a very fine needle. There is usually minimal if any bruising and you can go back to work or social activities after the visit. Results typically appear within a few days, offering a subtle, natural look that doesn’t have to freeze your facial expressions.

Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are another essential component of minimally invasive facial rejuvenation. Fillers can restore lost volume to areas like the cheeks and lips, smooth out wrinkles around the mouth, and enhance lip shape. Dr George can discuss three main types of filler – (1) those which contain hyaluronate, a naturally occuring substance which nourishes your tissues (2) Biostimulatory fillers which also encourage your own body to produce collage (3) lipofilling using stem cells harvested from your own fat sores.

Generally, the procedure involves careful injection of the filler into the desired areas, sculpting and contouring to achieve a fresh and balanced look. The results are immediate and can last from several months to over a year.

Specific Treatments

Mid Facial Lift: A commonly treated area is the midface. This can be performed to accentuate cheek bones, define jawline and minimise droop, such as jowls and smile lines. After assessment, treatment will be tailored to your specific needs utilizing fillers with different characteristics applied in specific anatomic zones.

Lip Filler: a commonly performed procedure to restore volume and symmetry or create an accentuated upper lip shape.

Smile Lines – prominent naso-labial folds and a downward smile are common concerns which require a nuanced assessment of the entire face. Multimodality treatment can then be offered to give a refreshed and happy appearance.

Temple:  Through a combination of a specialist knowledge of facial anatomy and carefully chosen product, the hollows can be filled and volume restored. As this is a sensitive area, Dr George advises this should be performed by highly qualified hands only.

Jawline and Chin Definition: A retracted chin and soft jaw can be due to the combined effects of genetics and aging. A versatile approach is required to achieve your desired look, including a more pronounced chin to balance your face and defined jawline. Results are immediately visible and can last 6 to 12 months.

Temple Hollowing: This is an often under-recognised condition due to decrease (atrophy) in the soft tissues and bony platform in the temple region. It is age-related but sometimes certain medications can contribute to its occurrence. Nourishing this area with high grade grade filler affords instant results, however the presence of blood vessels and nerves in the region warrants experienced therapy. Dr George is able to utilise ultrasound to guide accurate and safe treatment.

Full Facial Rejuvenation: A combination approach is used via the identification of key anatomical landmarks and physiology of aging. Treatment identifies and treats temple hollowing, mid-facial lift, jawline definition and chin enhancement which can make you look 10 to 15 years younger.
